Description
Le Mead was created in 2007 and to date has raised nearly £18,000 for leukaemia charities. Le Mead is a label created to raise money for blood cancer charities and specifically the Geoff Thomas Foundation charity.
It is named after 24yr old Steve Mead who was diagnosed with acute Adult Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on August 23rd 2007 and was born after a 24hr driving challenge was created in 2007 to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund.
Since then Le Mead has grown and grown and this is all down to the amazing support from no end of generous individuals, friends, colleagues and companies.
We are continually looking at developing our label in our very personal challenge to help save lives lost to blood cancers and this year we are hoping for our most successful and challenging year yet.
Le Mead has three aims:-
- To keep the name of Steve Mead alive
- To raise awareness into leukaemia and blood related cancers
- To raise money to help the fight against leukaemia and blood related cancers
In what is shaping up to be our biggest year yet there are many ways that we can succeed during 2010, however none of this could happen without the help and support from you.
You can help us achieve our aims and after the emotions that took hold of everyone involved with Le Mead last year it really has hit home just how short life is and how, together, we can and will help others affected by this awful illness.
